Initial Brainstorm
On September 25, 2024, after an early setback, the team met to envision a facility that broke free from the “box” design. Ideas ranging from octagonal hubs to circular entryways set the tone for a creative design process.
Kinect the Community to the Campus
Innovating a New Standard in Student Facilities
Kinect Build Industries is a groundbreaking initiative focused on redesigning student facilities. Our vision goes beyond the conventional “box” by incorporating diverse geometries—a mix of octagons, circles, and rectangles—to create dedicated spaces for lecture halls, classrooms, dorms, makerspaces, libraries, gyms, and communal lounges. With a strong commitment to sustainability, our design is aimed at achieving LEED Platinum certification.

With new floor plans emerging on October 2nd and continuous iterations throughout October and November, the design evolved rapidly through detailed REVIT models, electrical and plumbing planning, and cost estimation.
Major milestones include the completion of comprehensive models, finalized floor plans, and the submission of a complete project on December 4, 2024 - a true testament to innovation and collaboration.
